This MLT faculty position serves as an instructional faculty member for the NAACLS-accredited MLT Programs at the College, reporting directly to the Dean of Health Occupations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration committed to furthering the College's vision, mission, core themes and strategic plan within the HO/PE, Business division. Description of the duties assigned to this position, the courses to be taught, etc.. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will advise students, assist with assessment of current instructional methods, develop programs and curricula, and participate in Shoreline governance, department, division and campus-related professional activities.
This position supervises and oversees the technical functions and activities of Sequim laboratory services in accordance with CAP and CLIA accreditation regulations. Responsibilities include working closely with lab technical specialists and management, providing oversight of technical aspects within the Sequim Lab to include but are not limited to lab-specific policies and procedures, overseeing the Sequim Lab Quality Assurance and program, technical quality control, lab proficiency testing (review, assignments, reporting, and follow-up), SEM management, and all technical aspects associated with testing performed in the lab. The Supervisor is responsible for technical lab staffing, onboarding, evaluations, competencies, and payroll, and coordinates with the lab Satellite Services supervisor for development and oversight of Lab Assistants working in lab processing.
